We need to uplift each other more.

This is a topic that has been weighing in my heart for quite some time. Why are some women often malicious towards other women especially when it come to advancement in life. I believe this is rooted in operating in a mentality of lack rather than abundance. When you think about God’s design for the female species, you have to realize how powerful we are and why we should NEVER operate with a mentality of lack . God chose us as the only species to have the ability to carry life and this means we are all given the power to multiply. The power of multiplication can be manifested in the physical, spiritual, emotional and mental realm. If one woman has the power to multiply, imagine how much more thousands of women can accomplish is they uplift and encourage each other. 

I have experienced the effects of being surrounded by women who uplift and encourage me daily. I have so many women in my life who uplift me, but today, I would like to focus on my three friends Jasmine (@naturalleye), Tiffany (@tiffanymalonee) and Colby (@peaceloveandallthatjaz aka the ladies of Soul Filling Podcast.

These women are phenomenal and I believe we have a unique relationship that has played a role in who we are today. We send love bombs every chance we get to encourage each other through the everyday struggle of being a millennial black woman aspiring to make a difference in the world.

We pray for each other and we’re very honest with each other. When one person wins, we ALL win and this should be the mentality you have in your female relationships. As you operate from this mentality, you begin to grow and learn more about yourself. When you pray and encourage your friend, not only does your bond become stronger, but you allows yourself to operate in the power of pure love. You begin to celebrate “just because.”

Ladies, make the decision to be a woman that uplifts other women. If you’re in a toxic friendship with no likelihood of change, it’s time to separate and heal. If you’re the toxic friend, it’s time you live in truth and decide to be better.

The power of uplifting each other is tremendous! It’s been over a decade of friendship with these ladies and we have countless adventures and accomplishments together.

Lets keep the trend going. Pick up the phone and encourage your girlfriend who is working so hard on finishing school. Ask your friend who is in a new job how she’s doing and adjusting to the new role. Support your friend’s business by investing or sharing her business aspirations. Sprinkle some positive energy into your circle and watch amazing things fall into place!
