Oliver’s Burger Abuja – Where Food Lovers Go

“You can’t just eat good food. You’ve got to talk about it too. And you’ve got to talk about it to somebody who understands that kind of food.”    – Kurt Vonnegut

Oliver’s burger was introduced to me by my friend, Lazarus. He’d been raving about it since I got to Abuja and honestly, I was a bit hesitant to try it. My hesitation was due to the fact that majority of burgers in Nigeria are nasty. I mean, we’re good at a lot of things but I believe burger is best in America. For example, I’d had a burger in Buns and Batter and it was so disgusting. It was the worst burger I’d ever tasted in my life. The patty was a tragedy.

Eventually, we had a chance to try the burger at Oliver’s and I’ve been hooked ever since!

Oliver’s Burger is a food truck nested in the heart of Abuja. It’s right off Amino Kano Crescent where the Glo Office is located. There’s an Eco Bank right opposite the food truck.

Location: Amino Kano Crescent, Wuse 2, by Glo Office, opposite Ecobank.

Right in front of the food truck, you’d see the stand with an umbrella where you place your order and make payment. The menu is located on the truck.

Since I’m a regular, I’ve built a nice relationship with the chefs of Oliver’s burger and they’re the sweetest.

I ordered the beef burger with cheese and egg which brought the total to N1,900 approx. $6.

The burger comes with a patty made with ground beef, cucumber, lettuce, tomatoes, fried eggs, cheese and their special sauce. If you want the burger spicy, you can ask them to put pepper.

Verdict?

This burger is actually a whole mood! Though the meat falls apart sometimes, it’s well seasoned. The fried egg is such a great addition and the bread is soft, yet toasty. Lastly, the special sauce and pepper makes a blessed melody in your mouth.  It’s so delicious and I definitely recommend it if you’re in Abuja.

I hope you found this blog insightful and I hope you try Oliver’s Burger whenever you’re in Abuja, Nigeria. Are you a burger fan? Please leave your comments below. Thanks for reading beauties! Until next time, you can keep up with me on Instagram @iam_Deborah.
